DOC-ANEW HRSA Grant – Enhancing APRN Workforce Competencies: Combatting the Opioid Crisis in Rural and Underserved WA State Correctional Facilities
The primary aim of this partnership is to enhance PMHNP training in the treatment of opioid use disorder and chronic pain in preparation for post-graduate employment in underserved rural DOC clinics and other rural health agencies.
This Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Advanced Nursing Education Workforce (ANEW) grant (# T94HP33210) is an innovative academic-clinical partnership between the Department of Corrections (DOC) and the University of Washington School of Nursing (SoN) Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) track.
